Archie Hudgins Obituary
Archie J. Hudgins, age 87, of Rome passed away September 14, 2015.
A native of Rome, Mr. Hudgins was born July 23, 1928, son of the late
Grady Hudgins and Jennie Pilgrim Hudgins. He had been a resident of
Rome most of his life and retired from Galey and Lord as a weave
room manager. Mr. Hudgins was a member of the First Baptist
Church of Shannon, the Oostanaula Lodge #113 F & AM, Yaarab
Temple, and the Rome Shrine Club. He enjoyed riding motorcycles
and hunting, and was preceded in death by his wife Christine
Johnson Hudgins November 12, 2005, and a sister Charlene Everett.
Survivors include his daughter, Shirley Early; grandson Vince Early;
two sisters Annie Jones and Linda Harris .
Funeral services will be conducted at 1PM Friday, September18,
2015 in the Chapel of Parnick Jennings Sr.'s Good Shepherd Funeral
Home, 2750 Shorter Avenue, with Charlie Carney officiating. The
family will receive friends Friday from 11 AM until 1 PM at Good
Shepherd. Interment will follow in Oaknoll Memorial Gardens with
Oostanaula Lodge #113 F & AM conducting Masonic rites. Please visit

pallbearers are the following gentlemen: Gary Johnson, Eric Greeson,
Frank Early,Don Harris, Doug Jones, and Mike Jones. Honorary
pallbearers are Ronnie Everett, Steve Everett, and members of the
Rome Shrine Club.
