Barbara Anthony Obituary
Barbara Allen Anthony, age 79, of Rome passed away Thursday June 8, 2017 in a local hospital.
Barbara was a native of Cherokee County, Alabama born November 6, 1937 to the late carl Anthony, and Ilar Gossett Anthony. She was a member of North Rome Church of God. She was employed by Trend Mills, and later retired from Mar-Glen Industries, she was a graduate of Cherokee County Highs School. Barbara was preceded in death by brothers, Marvin, Buford, John, and James Anthony, sister, Dorothy Haggard.
Survivors include her brother, Rev. Ernest "Tony" Anthony, and his wife Betty, Silver Creek; several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday June 11, 2017 at Good Shepherd Funeral Home Chapel, with her brother Rev. Ernest Anthony, officiating. Interment will follow in Anthony-Baker Family Cemetery, near Centre, Al. The family will recieve friends from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Saturday June 10, 2017 at Good Shepherd Funeral Home, 2750 Shorter Ave. Rome, Ga. 30165.
