Mrs. Billie Dean Bobo Kitchen, age 89 of Rome passed away Monday February 19, 2018, peacefully at her home surrounded by her family.
Mrs. Kitchen was born April 6, 1928, in Collinsville, Alabama, a daughter of thel late Uye Bobo, and Ella Brock Carter Bobo. She married a career military service man Robert "Bob" Kitchen. Mrs. Kitchen traveled the world with him and their two children, Carol and Wayne. She spent many years in Anniston, Alabama and settled in Rome, Ga. in 2006. She was preceded in death by brothers, A.W. Bobo, J.W. Bobo, sister, Catherine Ragan.
Survivors include, son, Robert Wayne Kitchen, daughter, Brenda Carol "Robert" Dobilas, sisters, Kathleen Beam, Carolyn Dixon, grandchildren, Katheryn Beth Kitchen, Robert Daniel Kitchen, Shari Berry, Lynn Woollums, and Bill Dobilas, 9 great grandchildren. several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Friday February 23, 2018 at Good Shepherd Funeral Home Chapel, with Dr. Billy Rabern, officiating. Interment will follow in Oaknoll Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until the hour of service on Friday at Good Shepherd Funeral Home, 2750 Shorter Ave. Rome, Ga. 30165.
