Charles Stansell Obituary

Charles "Steve" Stansell, age 71, passed away on April 10, 2020 at Redmond Hospital. He is survived by his wife, Emily Faye (Robinson), with whom he spent more than 50 wonderful years. He is also survived by his daughter Cindy Stansell Taylor and her husband Mike, step-son Rod Twilley and his wife Amy, grandchildren Morgan Twilley, Ammie Twilley, Autumn Twilley, Pierce Hobbs, and Peyton Hobbs, brother Mike Stansell and his wife Brenda, sisters Brenda Lambrecht and Penny Self (Doyle), as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Steve's parents David Wesley and Thelma Myra (Treglown) Stansell, brother David Wayne Stansell, and step-son Stevie Gene Twilley preceded him in death.

Steve grew up in the Lindale community and graduated from Pepperell High School, after high school, he attended and graduated from Coosa Valley Technical College. Steve enlisted in the United States Army in 1968 and served in the Vietnam War. He was honorably discharged at the end of his active duty obligation. Steve was a long-standing member of the Lindale Masonic Lodge #455. Steve enjoyed spending time with family and friends, hunting wild game and fishing.

Steve owned and operated North Georgia Insulation for over 25 years, until his retirement. During his time as a business owner he made many friends and seemed to know everyone in Floyd County. Steve was amused by the fact that everywhere he went, he would see someone he knew, and he and never forgot a face. He was loved by many and he loved everyone he met. He was a bright light to each person he touched. Steve will always be remembered as a jokester who enjoyed aggravating those he loved, especially his family.

In accordance with state and federal guidelines, there will be a private service. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Lindale Masonic Lodge #455 C/O Wayne Lovvorn P.O. Box 55 Lindale Ga 30147
