Mrs. Cleo Hopkins Hennon, age 86, of Rome passed away Monday September 4, 2017 in a local hospital.
Mrs. Hennon was born May 9, 1931 in Floyd County, a daughter of the late Benny Hopkins, and Hattie Shelton Hopkins. She was a member of First Assembly of God and a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband William Hugh Hennon, son, William McKinley Hennon, brothers, Wesley, Grady, Howard, James, Leo , and Paul Hopkins, sisters, Vera Holcomb, Doris Hopkins.
Survivors include, daughter, Sandra (Lewis) Dunn, Rome; grandchildren, John Dunn, Jr., and Rodney Dunn, special nieces, Diane Hopkins Mize, Teresa Hopkins West, Judy Holcomb Walker, 4 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday September 8, 2017 at Glory Tabernacle Church on Watson Street, with Rev. Robert Johnson, officiating. Interment will follow in Oaknoll Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM until the funeral hour on Friday, at the church.
