Clyde Cornett Obituary
Mr. Clyde William Cornett, age 66, of Rome, passed away Sunday November 16, 2014 in a Chattanooga, Medical Center.
Mr. Cornett was born October 31, 1948, in Floyd County Georgia, a son of the late Harlie James Cornett and Ruby Pace Cornett. He was a member of Oak Hill Church of Christ. Mr. Cornett had a belt in Tai Kwon Do, he was a retired truck driver. Mr. Cornett was preceded in death by his brothers, Lannie and James Cornett.
Survivors include his wife, Phoebe Latimer Cornett, son Brandon Dean Cornett, Summerville; daughter, Brandi (Rick) Mathis, Cedartown; grandchildren, Caitlin Mathis, Melaine Cornett, brothers, Richard (Nell) Cornett, Rome; Dannie (Betty) Cornett, Rome; Coleman (Sandy) Cornett, Rome; sister, Dorothy Brown, Calhoun; several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Wednesday November 19, 2014 at Parnick Jennings, Sr.'s Good Shepherd Funeral Home Chapel, with David Newby officiating. Interment will follow in Friendship Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 7:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. on Tuesday November 18 at Oak Hill Church of Christ.
Pallbearers include the following gentlemen and are asked to meet at the funeral home by 2:30 p.m. Phillip Chastain, Greg Fuel, David Paterson, Lamar McWhorter, David Helton, and Tim Hensley.
