Danny Ray Elrod, age 57, of Cave Spring, passed away Monday May 29, 2017 in a local hospital
Danny was born August 25, 1959, Floyd County a son of the late James Elrod, and Bessie Bates Elrod. He was a member of Beech Creek United Methodist Church, and was employed by Hillis Outdoor Specialist. He was preceded in death by sisters, Gwen Terry, and Joyce Elrod.
Survivors include his wife, Denise Wadsworth Elrod, sons, Adam Elrod, Cave Spring; Josh (Brandy) Elrod, Rome; daughter, Ami (Richard) Riggs, Cave Spring; brother, Robbie (Lisa) Elrod, Rome; sisters, Brenda (Bruce) Rogers, Rome; Linda ( Mack) Abbott, Cave Spring; and Lisa. grandchildren, Madison Campebell, Caitiln Elrod, Corbin Holbrook, Cadyn Riggs, Carter Riggs, Dylan Rolllins, and Emmalyn Elrod, several nieces and nephews also survive.
A memorial service will be held at 7:00 P.M. Friday June 2, 2017 at Beech Creek United Methodist Church, 2972 Alabama Highway, Rome, Ga. 30165. The family will receive friends from 5:00 P.M. until the hour of service on Friday at the Church.
The family request in lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 250 Williams St. NW. Atlanta, GA. 30303.
