Dwight Wurth Obituary

Dwight Raymond Wurth, age 45 of Rome passed away Saturday April 18, 2015, at his residence.

Raymond was born October 17, 1969, in Floyd County. He was a loving husband, Step Dad, granddad, and loving brother, his heart belonged to his grandson Christopher, he loved him so much and they shared a special bond. Raymond was a hard working man loyal and decdicated to his family and all his extended families, he loved his church family when he attended at the Rome Church of Christ. Raymond love his job was president of the Union and looked out for his co-workers, he as a great friend who would lend a hand at anytime. Raymond loved spending time at home with his family, he enjoyed the great outdoors, his favorite color was camouflage, some of his hobbies where hunting, boating, camping, watching movies and cartoons, and spending time with his best friend Johnny Payne. Raymond also loved going to car shows, gun and knife shows, and flea market shopping. He will be greatly missed. Raymond was a veteran of the Untied States Army serving with 101 Airborne.

Raymond was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Cora Mae Wurth, grandfather and grandmother, William Arthur and Martha Bea Smith, brothers, Franklin Riggins, Jr. David Wurth, mother in law, Carol J. McGinnis.

Survivors include his wife, Darlene McGinnis Wurth, grandson, Christopher Vance Duvall, two step children, Travis Emory Little, Kayla Darlene Little, brother, Daniel Riggins, brothers in law, Charles McGinnis, Timothy Baker, sisters in law, Rhonda McGinnis, Gina Baker, numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Friday April 24, 2015 at Rome Church of Christ, 121 Primrose Rd. Rome,Ga. 30165, with Minister Steve Rogers, officiating. Interment will follow in Oaknoll Memorial Gardens, with Shanklin-Attaway Post Five Honor Guard of the American Legion, will conduct full military graveside rites. The family will receive friends from 1:00 P.M. until hour of service on Friday at Rome Church of Christ, 121 Primrose Road, Rome, Ga. 30161.

Pallbearers include, Travis Little, Charles McGinnis, Timothy Baker, Johnny Payne, Paden Brownlow, and Jordan Wolff.

Honorary pallbearer will be his brother, Daniel Riggins.
