Eula Mae Salmon, age 83, of Rome passed away Tuesday, April 8, 2014 at her residence .
A native of Floyd County, Mrs. Salmon was born May 10, 1931 daughter of the late Jerry C. Winkles and Bessie Mae Sanders Winkles. She had been a resident of Rome most of her life but lived in Texas for several years. and worked for the Victory Café downtown and DiPrima's Steak House . She enjoyed watching Braves baseball and game shows on television, reading, and crossword puzzles. She loved her family and was preceded in death by her sisters and a brother Ruby, Frances, Thelma, Mary, Tommy, Carolyn and Barbara.
Survivors include her children Tim (Alison) Land and Frankie Land and Teresa (Ronnie) Branton, all of Rome: a sister Mildred Wagner of Minnesota, ten grandchildren, twenty eight great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren with a third on the way.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3 :00 P.M. Thursday, April 10, 2014 in the Chapel of Parnick Jennings Sr.'s Good Shepherd Funeral Home, 2750 Shorter Avenue with Reverend Bobby Stephens officiating. Interment will follow in Floyd Memory Gardens.
