Geneva Beck Obituary
Geneva Floyd Beck, age 92, passed away Thursday, June 15 after a brief illness. Geneva was a lifelong resident of Plainville and a lifelong member of the Plainville United Methodist Church which she faithfully attended for as long as she was able. Geneva was well known for her humor, quick wit and her pride in her two sons, Larry and Kenny.
Geneva was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years Harvey Beck and a son Larry Beck. She is survived by a son Kenny Beck and his wife Joan, a daughter in law Sandy Beck Olson and a granddaughter Dee Jay Beck.
The family would like to extend their thanks to the members of her church and others in the community , including the staff of Amedisys Home Health Care, who helped her live independently in her own home until recently. This is what she wanted most. Special thanks to Tim and Toni Fuller, Blake and Tammy Nicholson, Ray and Melanie Black, Sandra Swinford, Wayne Swinford and Ed Hightower for what they have meant to Geneva and the Beck family over the years.
Visitation services will be from 1-3 pm at the Plainville United Methodist Church on Saturday, June 17 with services to immediately follow. Reverend Ted Fuller and Reverend Bill Lowry will officiate. Interment will follow in Scott Cemetery, Palinville.
Pall Bearers include: Tim Fuller, Ted Fuller, Brownie McEntyre, Jimmy Franklin, Wayne Swinford, Ray Black, Ed Hightower, Bryant Hopper, John Shivers.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Plainville United Methodist Church, PO Box 611, Plainville, GA. 30733.
