Mrs. Hazel Blanton Towe, age 88, of Ft. Payne Alabama passed away Saturday, September 27, 2014 in a local hospital.
A native of Sylva, North Carolina Mrs. Towe had been a resident of Fort Payne most of her life. She was a homemaker and member of Antioch Baptist Church. Mrs. Towe was preceded in death by her husband Clarence Towe, a son Mike Towe , brothers Winford, Bedford, Charlie, and Camron Blanton and sisters Evelyn Gentry and Carrie Wagner.
Survivors include two daughters Gwen (Charles) Monroe of Ft. Payne, Alabama and Gayle Bishop of Cedartown, GA. Seven grandchildren Felicia Blake, Russell Headrick, April Marion, Sabrina Bishop, Mark Monroe, and Cheryl Monroe. Ten great grandchildren, two brothers Hal and Walter Lee ( Donna) Blanton also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 P.M. Monday, September 29, 2014 in the Chapel of Parnick Jennings Sr.'s Good Shepherd Funeral Home, 2750 Shorter Avenue with her grandson Reverend Russell Headrick officiating. Interment will follow in the Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery in Texas Valley. The family will receive friends Monday from 12 until 2 P.M. at the funeral home.
