Herbert Russell Obituary
Mr. Herbert Coolidge Russell, age 84, of Rome passed away Saturday July 19, 2014 at his residence.
Mr. Russell was born November 18, 1929, in Floyd County, a son of the late Wallace R. Russell, and Mary Bell Gentry Russell. Mr. Russell was a member of New Armuchee Baptist Church, he retired from the Rome City School System after 23 years of service. He was preceded in death by two brothers, George and Howard Russell.
Survivors include his wife, Betty McCullough Russell, a son, David Russell, Rome; brother and sister in law, Edward and Bessie Russell, Rome; several nieces and nephews.
Graveside and Interment services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday July 22, 2014 at Oaknoll Memorial Gardens, with Rev. Bobby Stephens, officiating. The family will receive friends from 9:30 AM until 10:30 AM on Tuesday July 22, 2014 at Parnick Jennings, Sr.'s Good Shepherd Funeral, 2750 Shorter Ave. Rome, Ga. 30165.
