Hoyt Renfroe Hanks, age 79 of Cedar Bluff, Alabama, (Farrill Community) passed away Friday May 11, 2018 in a local hospital.
Hoyt was born March 21, 1939, in Farrill Alabama, a son of the late Gaines Tillman Nannie Mozel Comer Hanks. He was a member of Salem United Methodist Church, and a retired truck driver.
Survivors include his wife Carolyn Smith Hanks to whom he was married October 9, 1970 daughter and sons in laws, Donna and Jimbo Rodgers, Chickamauga; Christa and Larry Pettigrew, Ringgold; Gina and James Stephens, Cedartown; Denise Plunkett, Lindale; grandchildren, Jenna (Adam) Christian, Molly (John) Barton, Luke and Tanner Dabbs, Greg (Dolly)Baker, Brittany Stephens, Nicole (Richard) Henderson, great granddaughter, Riley Henderson, great grandsons, Cooper Christian, and Tucker Henderson.
Graveside and Interment services will be held at 3:30 P.M. Saturday May 12, 2018 at Hanks Family Cemetery (Hardeman) in Farill, Al. with Rev. Joseph Abbott, officiating.
