James Lamar Bohannon, age 80 of Rome passed away Monday January 18, 2016 in a local hospital.
Mr. Bohannon was born May 28, 1935, in Floyd County, a son of the late Hugh Tillman "Tim" Bohannon, and Mary Jane "Ada" Cargle Bohannon. He was a member of New Armuchee Baptist Church and was retired from Georgia Power.
Survivors include his wife, Jacqueline "Jackie" Spain Bohannon, Son and daughter in law, Tim and Lisa Bohannon, Rome; grandchildren, Matthew Hall, and Joshua Hall.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 P.M. Wednesday January 20, 2016, at Parnick Jennings, Sr.'s Good Shepherd Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Phil Wade, and Rev. Gary McAlister, officiating. Interment will follow in Oakland Cemetery. the family will receive friends from 12:00 P.M. until the service time on Wednesday, at Parnick Jennings, Sr.'s Good Shepherd Funeral Home, 2750 Shorter Ave. Rome, Ga. 30165.
Pallbearers incudle the following gentlemen and are asked to meet at the funeral home, by 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday, P.B. Bohannon, Benny Bohannon, R. J. Joyce, P.N. Paryear, Daniel Booke, and Mark Munns.
