Jann Skeen Obituary

Jann Heaton Skeen, 67, also known as "The Domestic Goddess of the Internet" died Thursday evening at her residence following a short illness.

A native of Rome, Jann was born March 26, 1950, daughter of the late James A. "Jimmy" Heaton and Edith Louise Jefts Heaton. She was a 1968 graduate of West Rome High School, and was employed by Harbin Clinic prior to retirement. As a child, Jann had pen pals all over the United States, and in the infancy of the internet was a member of numerous chat rooms and this prepared her for what would become her great joy. As the Domestic Goddess, Jann was known for her humorous and occasionally acidic remarks on the state of the world and humanity in general.

Survivors include her husband, Philip Skeen; daughter Allison Bradburn, and granddaughter Katelyn Shuler, all of Rome. Sisters Elise Holcomb of Forney, AL; Gwen Heaton and Danette "Dee" Savage both of Atlanta. Jann also leaves behind "the too numerous to count" people that live in her Iphone.

There will be a private memorial service at a later date. Parnick Jennings Sr.'s Good Shepherd Funeral Home is serving the family of Jann Heaton Skeen.
