Mr. Jerry Donald Butler, age 75, of Rome, passed away on Saturday, June 13, 2015.
Mr. Butler was born in Floyd County, Georgia on July 2, 1939. He was the son of the late William C. Butler, Sr. and the late Rosa Pearl Evans Butler. In addition to his parents Mr. Butler was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Jo Butler Holder and by his brothers, William C. Butler, Jr. and James Anderson Butler.
Mr. Butler was a graduate from Model High School.He was Honorably Discharged from the United States Army, the Marine Reserve, and the Air Force Reserve. He was a firefighter most of his life and retired from the Department of Defense, at Dobbins A.F.B as a Firefighter and Crash Rescue Technician.
Survivors include his daughter, Amy Elizabeth Butler, and a granddaughter, Heather Alyssa Porter, several nieces and nephews.
The family will hold a private creaminsservice.
