Jo Montgomery Obituary
Jo Ann Montgomery, age 73, of Rome passed away Friday evening, October 10, 2014 in a local hospital.
A native of Rome, Mrs. Montgomery was born December 2, 1940 daughter of the late Samuel Austin and Jessie Ellen Haigwood Austin. She had been a resident of Rome her entire life and prior to retirement was a bus driver for Floyd County schools, driving a special needs bus and finishing in the Armuchee district.
,Survivors include two daughters Lori Rowe and Ellen Montgomery; a son Tim Montgomery; sister Mary Austin; Grandchildren James and Timothy Montgomery, Lebryna, Brooke, and Brett Ely, Christian Brice Rivera, Jeffrey and Jade Rowe; Great grandchildren Raylin Ely, Lexie Garrett, Aubrie Robbins, Kaydence Montgomery, and an additional one on the way. A "Peschel" adopted granddaughter Kelsie Peschel.
Funeral services will be conducted Sunday afternoon at 4 P.M. in the Mausoleum Chapel of Oaknoll Memorial Gardens with Reverend Marvin Jackson officiating.
