Julia Lemons McCullough, age 89 passed away Tuesday evening December 9, 2014 surrounded by her children and grandchildren.
Mrs. McCullough was born March 6, 1925 daughter of the late Albert Richardson and Bessie Holmes Richardson. She retired from Fox Manufacturing Company after 30 Years of service. Mrs. McCullough enjoyed her grandchildren and great grandchildren, especially when spending the holidays with her family. She enjoyed working in her home and garden where she enjoyed growing flowers and vegetables and took great pride in maintaining. Mrs. McCullough was preceded in death by her parents, her husband W.M. "Mitch" McCullough, sisters Mary Rush, Mattie Strickland, and Helen McKin and a great grandson Jerry House.
Survivors include two sons Joe Richardson and Willie (Gail) Lemons; two daughters Billie Jo Sisson and Judy (Roger) Gamble. Eight grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3 P.M. Saturday, December 13, 2014 in the Chapel of Parnick Jennings Sr.'s Good Shepherd Funeral Home, 2750 Shorter Avenue with Reverend Barry McCullough officiating. Interment will follow in Oaknoll Memorial Gardens. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers and include Jody Lemons, Joe Michael Richardson, Ronnie Lemons, Randy Whitlock, James House, and Eddie Gosnell. Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to Heyman Hospice, P.O.Box 163 Rome, GA 30162-0163.
