Larry Edward Byars, age 57, of Rome passed away Tuesday, February 23, 2016.
A native of Rome, Mr. Byars was born April 29, 1958 son of the late Charles Edward and Frances Lee Goodwin Byars. He had been a resident of Rome most of his life and prior to becoming disabled, was employed in the construction industry. Mr. Byars loved music and playing guitars and drums, singing karaoke and being with his family and friends.
Survivors include his fiance' Debbie O'Neal; two sons Rusty and Charlie Oliver of Hobbs, New Mexico; two sisters Cynthia Morgan and Diane (Dawn) Walker; special nieces and nephew Michele Teal, Shane Hutchins, and Cindy Gayle Garrett; other nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 P.M. Friday, February 26, 2016 in the Chapel of Parnick Jennings Sr.'s Good Shepherd Funeral Home, 2750 Shorter Avenue, Rome with Pastor Frank Terpening officiating. Interment will follow in Morning View Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6 until 8 P.M. at Good Shepherd Funeral Home.
