Mrs. Lavonne Farmer Morgan, age 67, of Rome passed away Friday June 5, 2015 in a Rome Medical Center.
Mrs Morgan was born July 6, 1947, in Floyd County. She was of the Baptist Faith, and retired from Shuner Manufactory after 30 years of service. Mrs. Morgan was preceded in death by her father, W. B. Farmer, grandson, Jerry McBurnett, brother, Billy Farmer.
Survivors include a son, Mark Gilreath, a daughter, Tina (Darrell) Burnett mother, Louise Weathington Farmer, sisters, Susie (Larry) Propheter,, Lisa Satoros, grandchildren, Marie Gilreath, Rachel Rae Gilreath, Tesa Lucas, Sky Highfield, great grandchildren, Jerry Carter, Santana Lucas, Cathalia Lucas, her best friend, Carlene Penney several nieces and nephews.
Graveside and entombment services will be held at 4:00 P.M. Tuesday June 9, 2015 at Oaknoll Mausoleum, with Rev. Jackie Culberson, officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 P.M. until 3:30 P.M. at Parnick Jennings, Sr.'s Good Shepherd Funeral Home, 2750 Shorter Ave. Rome, Ga. 30165.
