Mrs. Marie Gaylor Ferguson Fincher, age 82 of Rome passed away Saturday May 9, 2015
in a local health care.
Mrs. Fincher was born March 1, 1933, in Cherokee County Alabama, a daughter of the late
Claude Gaylor, and Pearl Byars Cobb. She was preceded in death by her first husband,
Harvey Ferguson, son Mark Ferguson, daughter Sheila Dorsey, brother, Gene Gaylor, sisters
Opal Pitts, and Mary Lou Mason.
Survivors include her husband, Bob Fincher, sons, Steve (Laurie) Ferguson, Loretta,TN; Jerry
Ferguson, Rome; Terry (Tina) Ferguson, Rome; daughters, Nancy Wirgau, Rome; Sandra
(Charles) Kimbrough, Silver Creek; Sherry Gilreath, Rome; Kim (Lowell) Vancil, Rome;
Tammy Battaglia, Rome; 37 grandchildren, 72 great grandchildren, 2 great great
grandchildren, brother, Curtis (Helen) Gaylor, Columbus, GA; several nieces and nephews
also survive.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday May 12, 2015, at Parnick Jennings, Sr.'s
Good Shepherd Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. on
Monday May 11, 2015, at Parnick Jennings, Sr.'s Good Shepherd Funeral Home, 2750
Shorter Ave. Rome, Ga. 30165.
