Marjie L. Hoover
Marjie L. Hoover, age 78, passed away Wednesday morning, May 11, 2016 in a local hospital.
A native of Tallapoosa County, Alabama Mrs. Hoover was born September 9. 1937 daughter of the late William Clarence Davis and Hattie Louise Sharpe Davis. She will be remembered as a strong willed woman and a force of nature. She was preceded in death by her husband Laverne J. Hoover on April 16, 2013.
Survivors include her sons Joseph Hoover and Glenn Gattenby and daughter Deborah Oakes. Five grandchildren Jessica Gattenby, Austin Gattenby, Haley Mills, Marcie Clayton, and Stevie Lindsey, along with eleven great grandchildren also survive.
Memorial services will be conducted at 6 PM Friday, May 13, 2016 in the Chapel of Parnick Jennings Sr.'s Good Shepherd Funeral Home. Private inurnment services will be conducted at the Georgia National Cemetery.
