Marjorie Money Obituary
Mrs. Marjorie Louise Money, age 83, died Friday evening in a local hospital.
A native of Floyd County, Mrs. Money was born October 11, 1934, daughter of the late Ernest and Vera Mae Terhune Alexander. She was a 1952 graduate of Model High School and provided childcare in her home. It was said "that she raised half of Coosa". She was a member of Wilkerson Road Baptist Church where she sang in the adult choir and taught children's Sunday School. She enjoyed gardening and was preceded in death by her husband, Reverend Norman L. Money on November 15, 2011.
Survivors include her children, Martha Broome of Rome, Allen Money of Cumming, and Joe Money of Rome; brothers Charles Alexander of Rome and Walter Alexander of Hiram. Nine grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, and seven great great grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 PM Tuesday, November 28, 2017 in the Chapel of Good Shepherd Funeral Home with Reverend Johnny Sisson officiating. Grandsons and grandsons in law will serve as pallbearers and include:Seth and Levi Broome, Joseph Money, Gabe Holbrook, Brad Couey, and Justin Warren. Honorary pallbearers are: Cole Couey, Corbin Holbrook, Issac Money, Mason Minter, Blaze Robinson, and Caine Robinson.
