Marvin Lee Holsonback, 92, of Floyd Springs, passed away at his residence Monday, November 10, 2014.
Mr. Holsonback was the last surviving child of the late Robert Edward and Alice Owens Holsonback. He was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Sallie Elsie Whittle Holsonback and eleven siblings: Carl, Edna, Alton, Grady, Robin, Hubert, Lois, Owen, Edward, Arnold, and Hazel.
He was a graduate of Armuchee High School and a member of the Floyd Springs United Methodist Church. After serving with the U.S. Army during World War II he was a cattle farmer and home builder. At the time of his death he was a member of the Board of Directors for the North Georgia EMC.
Survivors include his daughter and son in law Lesa and Malcolm Campbell and numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Wounded Warriors Project.
A graveside memorial service will be held at 2 P.M. Saturday at Floyd Springs United Methodist Church.
