Mary Smith-Head Obituary
Mary Kate Smith - Head, age 92, of Rome passed away Sunday morning, September 17, 2017 at a local hospice facility.
Mary was born March15, 1925, daughter of the late Alice Smith. She was also preceded in death by her husbands James Dempsey, Trammell Payne, and Carl Head and two sons Gary and Roy Dempsey.
Survivors include her daughter Barbara Mull, and her husband Jimmy; son Mickey Dempsey and his wife Vivian; grandchildren Coley Mull, Benny Mull, Chris Dempsey, Jamie Dempsey, Adam Dempsey, Scotty Dempsey, Brian Dempsey, Mickey Dempsey, Jason Dempsey, Stephanie Hudgins, and Daniel Barker. Mary was blessed with many, many great grandchildren as well.
Graveside funeral and interment services will be conducted at 6 P.M. Monday, September 18, 2017 at East View Cemetery with her grandson, Reverend Coley Mull officiating. The family will greet friends from 5:45 until the service hour. Please visit our website www.goodshepherdfh.net to post tributes.
