Meredith Lanier "Merle" Burnes, age 60, of Islamorada, Florida, passed away Wednesday July 8, 2015 at the home of family in Rome, Ga.

Born September 12, 1954, the son of Joy Burnes Fricks, of Rome and the late Charles L. Burnes, Sr.

Survivors include his mother, Joy Fricks, the love of his life, Lisa Tuck, sons, Berry (Brandy) Dupree, Rome ; Taylor (Lauren) Burnes, Del Ray, Fl; daughter, Kelly Tuck, Patterson, Ga.; brothers, Charles (Barbara) Burnes , Jr. Rome; David Burnes, Cartersville; Norwood, Burnes, Rome; grandchildren, Taylor, Patrick, Perry, Jackson, and Abby. 5 nieces and nephews, 5 great nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Life will be held Sunday July 12th, at 1:00 P.M. at Panhead City.
