Michael Ellis Edge, age 52, of Center, Alabama passed away Tuesday January 3, 2017.
Michael was born February 27, 1964, in Buford, Ga. a son of the late Richard Edge, and Ruby Flowers Edge. He was a member of Tabernacle of Life Church in Piedmont, Michael was employed by Georgia DOT for over 29 years.
Survivors include his wife, Phyllis Pruett Edge, son, Joshua Edge, daughter, Melissa Edge, Amanda Edge, grandchild, Lydia Cook, chosen brothers, Eugene Garrett, Rev. Sam Hooper, chosen sister, Cathy Watkins.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Friday January 6, 2017, at Good Shepherd Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Sam Hooper, and Rev. Autry Barnhill, officiating. Interment will follow in Amazing Grace Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 P.M. until the service hour on Friday at Good Shepherd Funeral Home, 2750 Shorter Ave. Rome, Ga. 30165.
Pallbearers and honorary pallbearers, will include employee's of the Ga. DOT.
