Mrs. Mildred Cain Hopkins, age 83, 0f Summerville, passed away Saturday December 24, 2016.
Mrs. Hopkins was born September 7, 1933, in Cherokee County Ga. daughter of the late Preston William Johnson, and Florence Wofford Johnson. She was a member of West Rome Baptist Church. Mrs. Hopkins was owner and operated Floyd County Bowling Lanes for 34 years. Mrs. Hopkins was preceded in death by her husbands, Robert Lee Cain, and Tony Bennett Hopkins, daughter, Teresa Cain, brothers, Buddy Johnson, Jeanie Sailors.
Survivors include her children, Tony Cain, Buford; TerrI (Tim) Brannon, Summerville; Tina Ball, Summerville; brother, David (Barbara) Johnson, Alpharetta; sisters, Evely (Melvin) Kimble, Ducula; Joyce McElligott, Atlanta; grandchildren, Bob Cain, Brooks Cain, Courtney Howell, Cody Ball, great grandchildren, Oliver Cain, Nicholas Cain, Alex Cain, Ethan Hoover, Auburn Hoover, Zoie Bennett, several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday December 28, 2016 at Good Shepherd Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. on Tuesday at Good Shepherd Funeral Home, 2750 Shorter Ave. Rome, Ga. 30165.Rev. Dan Hyde will officiate.
Graveside and interment service will be held at 2:30 P.M. Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at Crest Lawn Memorial Park, 2000 Marietta Blvd. NW., Atlanta, Ga. 30318.
