Mrs. Nellie Rae Gossett Poole, age 90, of Rome passed away Monday August 24, 2015 in a Rome Health and Rehab Facility.
Mrs. Poole was born September 21, 1924 in Cherokee County, Alabama a daughter of the John Gossett, and Elizabeth Barnes Gossett. She was of the Baptist Faith, and was preceded in death by her husband William Poole, daughter Betty Poole, brothers, Leo Gossett, Donald Gossett, sister, Pluma Garrison.
Survivors include her sister, Beatrice Miles, Rome; special niece, Lynn Mynes, special caregiver, Tasha and Chulio Hills staff, several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will held at 11:00 AM Thursday August 27, 2015 at Parnick Jennings, Sr.'s Good shepherd Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Harold Ingram officiating. A private interment will follow in Mountain View Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends hour prior to the service on Thursday at Parnick Jennings, Sr.'s Good Shepherd Funeral Home, 2750 Shorter Ave. Rome, Ga. 30165.
