Novella Lee Obituary
Novella Warnock Lee, 85, of Rome, Georgia, passed away Monday, March 09, 2015 in a Rome, Georgia, hospital after an extended illness.
Mrs. Lee was born August 27, 1929, in Rome, Georgia to the late Luther M. Warnock (Floyd County) and Myrtice Hurst (Walker County). She was the sister to the late Thelma Warnock, late A.P. Warnock, and late Quillan Warnock.
She graduated from Model High School in Shannon, Georgia, and graduated from Carol Lynn Business School in Rome, Georgia. Mrs. Lee was employed by Garner and Glover Company of Rome, Georgia, as a Certified Fire and Casualty Underwriter, where she retired after 42 years.
Mrs. Lee is survived by her husband, Morris J. Lee of Rome, Georgia. Her husband is the brother of the late Gordon Lee, Horace (Edythe) Lee, and late nephew, Jimmy Lee, all from Rome, Georgia. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Eloise Warnock, wife of her brother, the late Quillan Warnock, niece, Kim Williams, great-nephew Erick Moore and great-niece, Brittany Moore. She is also survived by nephew Michael (Martha) Warnock of Marietta, Georgia, great-nephew Michael (Laura) Warnock, and their children, great-nephews Wesley (Meridith) Warnock and Beau (Melanie) Warnock.
She is also survived by her niece Candy Lee (John) Davis, of Sautee, Georgia, great-niece Amy Lee (Chad ) Kinkle, great-nephews Jeremy Lee, Jason (Rachael ) Lee, and Jonathan (Krista) Lee. Mrs. Lee is also survived by her nephew Jerry (Dot) Lee of Rome, Georgia, great-niece Vicki Lee (Frank) Brown and great-nephew Steve (Pat) Lee.
Additionally, Mrs. Lee is survived by 14 great-great nieces and nephews, and 11 great-great-great nieces and nephews.
Arrangements are with Good Shepherd Funeral Home on Shorter Avenue in Rome, Georgia. Visitation will be Wednesday, March 11, 2015 between 5pm and 8pm. Funeral services will be held at Friendship Baptist Church on Calhoun Road in Rome, Georgia, at 3:00pm, with internment at Oak Noll Cemetery in Rome, Georgia, immediately following the funeral service. Friendship Baptist Church pastor, Dr. Rodger Horton will be officiating Mrs. Lee's services, along with Reverend Ken Hinkley.
Prior to her passing, Mrs. Lee called her husband over to her bedside and told him he life and he had fulfilled all her dreams!
