Mrs. Pearl Estelle Moore Reeves, age 88, of Rome, passed away Sunday July 17, 2016 at her residence.
Mrs. Reeves was born June 2, 1928 in Floyd County, daughter of the late Raymond Ollie Moore and Eunnie Louiese Morris Moore. She was a member of Blue Pond Baptist Church. Mrs. Reeves loved singing and dancing, especially line dancing, loved gardening and painting. She was a member of Mountain Music and the Dixie Stompers. Mrs. Reeves loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was employed by Brighton Mills later retiring from Trend Mills. Mrs. Reeves was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Reeves, Jr.; daughter in law, Kathryn Butler Reeves; step mother, Argedelle Sawyer Moore;, sister, Lorene Moore.
Survivors include her son and daughter in law, Dr. Leonard Reeves and his wife, Terri Brown, Rome; daughter and son in law, Estelle Elaine Reeves Couzzourt and her husband George Danny Couzzourt, Rome; 6 grandchildren 2 step grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren; sister, Betty Jo Moore Milam, Douglasville; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday, July 21, 2016 at Parnick Jennings, Sr.'s Good Shepherd Funeral Home Chapel, with officiating. Interment will follow in East View Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Wednesday, at Good Shepherd Funeral Home, 2750 Shorter Ave. Rome, Ga. 30165.
