Phyllis Braden Obituary
Phyllis Ann Braden, age 80, of Rome passed away Wednesday evening, March 18, 2015 in a local hospital.
A native of Whitfield County, GA Mrs. Braden was born June 24, 1934 daughter of the late Oscar Paul Gilliland and Opal Deal Gilliland. She had been a resident of Rome most of her life and was employed as a secretary with Lockheed Aircraft. Mrs. Braden was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Larry and Bobby Gilliland, her husband Bobby Braden and son Russell Scott "Rusty" Braden.
Survivors include her son Johnny Braden of Rockmart; grandchildren Jennifer Brannon, Cody Braden, Kaitlyn Locklear, Dusti Braden, and Piper Braden. Eight great grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 PM Sunday March 22, 2015 in the Chapel of Parnick Jennings Sr.'s Good Shepherd Funeral Home, 2750 Shorter Avenue with Reverend Phil Wade officiating. Interment will follow in Oaknoll Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Sunday from 1 until 2 PM.
