Rosa Bell Goodwin Rayburn, age 101, of Rome passed away Thursday afternoon, December 24, 2015. A native of Rome, Mrs. Rayburn was born October 29, 1914 daughter of the late Katie Allen Hill and Jim Hill. She had been a resident of Rome most of her life and was the oldest member of the Trinity Baptist Church. Prior to retirement, Mrs. Rayburn was employed with the Dellinger for 38 years. She was preceded in death by her husband Theodore Roosevelt Rayburn April 3, 1976, her sons Richard Goodwin and Howard, Ted, and Henry Rayburn, daughter Frances Tidwell, grandchildren

four brothers and three sisters.

Survivors include sons Carlton and Buddy Rayburn of Rome; daughters in law JoAnn Goodwin, Elizabeth Rayburn, Darlene Rayburn, Mae Rayburn, and Kate Rayburn. 19 Grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren,18 great great grandchildren, a great great great great grandchild along with a number of nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 PM Monday December 28, 2015 at Trinity Baptist Church with Reverend Frank Terpenning officiating. Interment will follow in Oaknoll Memorial Gardens with grandsons Clay, Ryan, and Ree Goodwin, Teddy and Mark Rayburn, and Larry Byars serving as pallbearers. James Rayburn, Doug Fowler, and Wayland Goodwin will serve as honorary pallbearers.
