Sandra "Nana" Klink, age 70, of Rome passed away Wednesday morning, March 29, 2017 at a local hospital, surrounded by her loving family.
A native of Trion, GA Sandra was born December 16, 1946 daughter of the late Margaret Sparks Miller and Clifford Meadows. She had been a resident of Rome for most of her life and was a manager with Kmart for twelve years, a manager for Bruno's for fifteen years, and owned and operated A Taste of Rome Catering for fifteen years. Sandra also served as a totally devoted caregiver for her children, grandchildren, and many other youngsters. She was a member of Rome Baptist Temple. Sandra was preceded in death by her parents Margaret and Jerry Miller and Clifford and Sue Meadows, and a daughter Tina Klink.
Survivors include her husband, David Klink, to whom she was married May 14, 1969; daughters and sons in law Debra and Chris Arrington and Lori and Joseph Thompson. Son and daughter in law David and Mindy Klink; grandchildren Maddie Thompson, Samantha Arrington, Jase Thompson, McKinley Klink, Christopher Arrington, and Elijah Klink; brothers Johnny Meadows, Allen Miller, Wendell Miller, Denise Miller, and Sherri Baker.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 AM Saturday, April 1, 2017 at the Rome Baptist Temple with Dr. Billy Goolsby and Reverend Donnie Pollard officiating. Interment will follow in the Henagar United Methodist Church Cemetery in Henagar, Alabama. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 5 until 8 PM at Rome Baptist Temple.
