Sherry Ghorley Hammitt, age 63 of Rome passed away December 12, 2017.
Sherry was born December 8, 1954, in Floyd County a daughter of Ralph Ghorley and Hazel Robins. She was preceded in death by a sister, Brenda Terry.
Survivors include her husband Ronald Hammitt, children, Benji Hammitt, Ronald Hammitt, Jr. Wendy Caldwell, Angel Pope, 13 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, sister, Rita Lindsey, several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Monday December 18, 2017 at Good Sheoherd Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Floyd Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 11:30 AM until the funeral hour on Monday.
