Stephen Dale "Steve" Byars, age 47, of Rome passed away Sunday April 24, 2016, in a local hospital.
Steve was born October 3, 1968 in Floyd County, he was a member of Grace Fellowship Baptist Church. Steve was owner of Cedar Creek Construction, LLC. He was a member of Mackey Masonic Lodge #120 F&AM. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Bud Sprayberry, Hugh Don Byars, grandmother, Nellie Byars, great aunt mama Mary Sprayberry.
Survivors include his wife, Trudy Smith Byars, son Blake (Emily) Russell, Rome; parents, Rev. Dale and Ann Sprayberry Byars, Rome; grandchildren, Maddox and Scout Russell; brother, Buddy Byars, Rome; brother and uncle, Ted Sprayberry, aunt, April Sprayberry, cousin, Tyler Sprayberry.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday April 28, 2016 at Parnick Jennings, Sr.'s Good Shepherd Funeral Home Chapel ,with Rev. Dale Byars, officiating. Interment will follow in Oaknoll Memorial Gardens, with Mackey Masonic Lodge #120 F&AM Conducting Masonic Graveside rites. The family recieve friends from 6 until 9 p.m. on Wednesday April 27, 2016 at Parnick Jennings, Sr.'s Good Shepherd Funeral Home, 2750 Shorter Ave. Rome, Ga. 30165.
