Toney Gerald Cox, age 55, passed away Sunday, June 28, 2015.
A native of Ft. Oglethorpe, Mr. Cox was born May 9, 1960 son of the late Buman Cox and Nellie Ray Cox. Tonie was "his own man" and was his happiest when enjoying a cigarette and cup of coffee. He was an Elvis Presley fan and tried to make everyone he came in contact with comfortable and happy. Toney was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Walter Gann, Robert Jarrett, Michael Buman Cox, and Donald Ponders.
Survivors include his brothers and sisters Roger Cox, Jackie Cox, Sylvia Diane Stacy, and Tammie Rymer. Brothers and sisters in law and several nieces and nephews also survive.
Memorial services will be conducted at 5 P.M. Friday, July 3, 2015 in the Chapel of Parnick Jennings Sr.'s Good Shepherd Funeral Home, 2750 Shorter Avenue. The family will receive friends Friday from 4 P.M. until the service hour.
