In Loving Memory of Mrs. Lillian Inez Croy
December 22, 1956 – April 5, 2024
Mrs. Lillian Inez Croy, aged 67, embarked on her journey to eternal rest on April 5, 2024, at Redmond Hospital in Rome, Georgia. Born in the warm heart of El Paso, Texas, on December 22, 1956, to Lonnie W. Allmon and Ruby Lee Allmon, Lillian's life was a beautiful mosaic of love, dedication, and nurturing.
Lillian leaves behind her beloved parents, Lonnie and Ruby Allmon; her cherished children, Jeromy Alford, Dillan Croy, Truitt Alford, Phillip Alford, and Jessica Cook; her adoring thirteen grandchildren; and a treasured great-grandchild. She was reunited in heaven with her soulmate, Terry Lee Croy, and her brothers, Lonnie Jr. Allmon, Ronnie Allmon, Cliff Allmon, and John Allmon, who preceded her in death.
Choosing the path of a homemaker was not merely a role for Lillian; it was her calling. It was a deliberate choice made out of profound love for her family—a confirmation of her unwavering commitment to be the cornerstone upon which her family's happiness and well-being were built. Lillian's home was an abode of warmth, where every room echoed with laughter, every meal was a feast of love, and every moment was memorable. Her presence was a constant in her children's lives, guiding them with wisdom, nurturing them with love, and supporting them with strength. Lillian's life was a beautiful illustration of the phrase "home is where the heart is," and her heart was always with her family.
Through her daily actions, Lillian taught us the value of unconditional love, the strength in gentleness, and the beauty of dedicating one's life to the care of others. Her legacy is not just in the memories she leaves behind but in the character of her children, the unity of her family, and the love that will continue to grow from the seeds she planted in the hearts of all who knew her.
The final farewell to celebrate Lillian's life will be held on Wednesday, April 10, 2024, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Good Shepherd Funeral Home, located at 2750 Shorter Avenue Rome, Georgia 30165. Lillian will be laid to rest at Oaknoll Memorial Gardens at 2549 Shorter Avenue, Rome, Georgia 30165.
