Benjamin Franklin "Benny" Lansdell, age 72, of Rome passed away Sunday November 7, 2021
Benny was born on December 24, 1948 in Rome GA., to the late Charles Lee Lansdell, Sr. and Ella Mae Westcott Lansdell. Benny grew up in and lived his entire life in Rome GA. He was a mill worker until retirement. Benny enjoyed watching the Atlanta Braves and Georgia Bulldogs. He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings: Leonard Lansdell, Jerry Lansdell, Charles Lee Lansdell, Jr., Delores Morgan, Sandra Bruce, Mary Barnes.
Survivors include his wife: Joyce Lansdell; step children: David (Patricia) Henderson, Sam (Kim) Henderson, Lynn Henderson; step grandchildren: Michael Henderson, Jeffery Hawkins, Tommy Hawkins, Courtney Henderson, David Henderson III, Tiffany Henderson; step grandchildren: Grace Hawkins, and Dusty Elrod; siblings: Roy (Frances) Lansdell, Gerald Lansdell and Margaret Hammond.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday November 10, 2021 at Good Shepherd Funeral Home, with Rev. Buddy Carter officiating. Interment will follow in East View Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12 noon until service hour on Wednesday at Good Shepherd Funeral Home, 2750 Shorter Ave. Rome GA. 30165.
Pallbearers include the following gentlemen: Roy Lansdell, Chris Lansdell, Jeff Morgan, Jeffery Hawkins.
