Mrs. Callie Cleo Owens Martin, age 94, of Cartersville, passed away Sunday January 28, 2018.
Mrs. Martin was born June 7, 1923, in Cobb County, a daughter of the late George Owens, and Laura Holcomb Owens. She was a member of Raccoon Creek Baptist Church, she was retired from Springdale Health Care, in Cartersville. Mrs. Martin was preceded in death by a son, Joe Barron, daughters, Jewell Woody, Brenda Camp, Sybil Barron brother, Raymond Owens, and sister, Rosalee Hobbs.
Survivors include, her children, Earl Barron, Gerald Barron, Donald Barron, Michael Martin, and Robert Martin, 20 grandchildren, several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday January 31, 2018, at New Cannan Baptist Church, in Cartersville, with Rev. Larry Towe, officiating. Interment will follow in Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery, Cartersville. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until the service hour on Wednesday at New Cannan Baptist Church, 1883 Joe Frank Harris Pwky, SE. Cartersville, Ga. 30120.
