Carolyn Ann Ambrose, age 81, of Rome passed away Sunday December 12, 2021 at her residence
Carolyn was born October 17, 1940 daughter to the late Hazel Grissom Wilson and the late Ivey G. Wilson. She was preceded in death by her husband Harry Ambrose and son Gregory A. Owens. She graduated from Rome High School in 1958 and attended Floyd Jr. College. She was a clerical worker, working as a secretary, office manager, bookkeeper and customer service representative, retiring from AT&T. She loved to read and watch documentaries, especially mysteries, she had a very fulfilling life and overcame a lot of obstacles that never stopped her. She was a loving grandmother and great grandmother who enjoyed watching them grow and become the people they are today.
She is survived by a daughter Lisa Owens Selman. Three grandchildren Alan Owens, Allison Selman, and Nikki Selman, and three great-grandchildren, Matthew Owens, Devin Owens, Ja'Riah Owens.
Memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday December 15, 2021 at Good Shepherd Funeral Home, with Dr. Billy Rabern officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM on Wednesday at Good Shepherd Funeral Home, 2750 Shorter Ave. Rome GA. 30165.
