Carolyn "Jeannie" Hardin Delevie
August 5, 1951 - October 4, 2021
Carolyn ¨Jeannie" Hardin Delevie age 70 of North Avery Rd died on October 4, 2021 after declining health due to a stroke and COVID complications. Jeannie was born on August 5th 1951. She grew up in the old 4th ward and later attended Coosa High School. SHe met Maurice Delevie at McCall Hospital and they were married on March 12 1976. Their daughter, Niki, was born in 1979, and she spent many years in the classroom at Krannert and Garden Lakes helping teachers. She took care of her grandchildren, neighbor ¨Mr. Bob,¨ and her mom until she passed. She loved to garden, plant flowers and socialize. She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents, her husband, an infant brother and brother Raymond Hardin. She is survived by her brothers Steve (Dianne) Hardin and Jim Hardin; daughter Niki Delevie; grandsons Pike and Jacoby Delevie and Axle Trammel; nieces Lindsay Hardin (DJ Parr), Holly Hardin (Clay Momon), Cam Lambert, and Taylor Delevie; nephews Chris(Gwen), Russ, Matt, Michael, Tracy, Stephen, and Bryce Delevie; special great nephew ¨Bean¨; a host of cousins and great friends also survive. Viewing will be held Saturday October 16th from 11 to 1 at Good Shepherd. She will be cremated and a celebration of life will be held next year where she will be buried by Maurice at Beech Creek UMC. Special thanks to Floyd Home Care (April, Heather, Jessie, Steven, and Jonathan - we love you guys!) and Heyman Hospice. Flowers will be accepted or donations can be made to the family or Heyman Hospice in her name. Parnick Jennings Sr.'s Good Shepherd Funeral Home has charge of the arrangements.
