Christie Cheney Vines, age 41, of Douglasville, formerly of Rome passed June 18, 2015 at her residence.
Christie was born on September 11, 1973 in Floyd County. After her fight with cancer she had a strong will to live and faith in God, and the love and prayers from family and friends, and many supporters, carried her through the grieving months. She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Mildred Vines Borders, grandmother, Annie Mae Hays, grandfather, Eugene Stewart Hays. She attended Model and McEachern Schools.
Survivors include, daughter, Kensley Langley, Douglasville; son, Brody Haney Douglasville; parents Shelia and Warren Vines, Jr. Douglasville; grandfather, Larry Borders, Rome; brother, Warren Vines III "Trey", Panama City Beach, FL; sister in law, Kathy Vines, Panama City Beach, Fl; nephews, Kelson Vines, neice, Morgan Vines, chosen sister, Charmane Cagle, several loving aunts uncles, and cousins.
Funeral service will be held at 7:00 P.M. Saturday June 20, 2015, at Parnick Jennigs, Sr.'s Good Shepherd Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Bobby Stephens, officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 P.M. until the hour of the service, on Saturday at Parnick Jennings, Sr.'s Good Shepherd Funeral Home, 2750 Shorter Ave. Rome, GA. 3065.
