Corey Ginn

Corey Ginn, age 29, of Rome passed away Tuesday January 25, 2022. Corey was born on April 18, 1992 in Rome GA., to Rodger Ginn and Tonya Nelson Murphy. Corey Ginn was a Pepperell High School graduate of 2010. He was known as always driving the yellow truck. He was a wrestler, a football player, state track runner, and loved his buddies. If he had a $1.00 and you needed it, he would give it to you. If anyone he knew needed anything no matter what time or day, he would do it for you. He had one hero since the day he was born and that was his papa, Gerald Nelson. He looked up to his papa each and every day. Corey was a perfect father and was raising them to be rough and tough. He stated he wouldn’t stop having kids until he got a boy. His baby boy is due on Corey’s birthday this year. No matter what he said or did, he loved his family. He knew at the end of every day, who he could count on. To Corey his nana wasn’t just a nana, she was always his “beautiful nana”. Corey was preceded in death by his grandparents: Gerald Nelson; and Hiram Greer and Mary Jane Ginn; step brother: Joshua Murphy. Survivors include his children: Brilee Jade Ginn, Ainslee Blake Ginn, and Bo Corey Ginn; father: Rodger (Misti) Ginn; mother: Tonya (Ronnie) Murphy; sister: Marleigh Faith Powell; grandmothers: Hope Nelson, and Elaine Burns; girlfriend of 4 years and mother of Ainslee and Bo: Tabitha Seely. Funeral service for Corey will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday February 5, 2022 at Pleasant Valley South Baptist Church, with Rev. Rick Jacobs officiating. Interment will follow in Floyd Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 12 noon until service hour on Saturday February 5, 2022 at Pleasant Valley South Baptist Church, 702 Pleasant Valley Rd SE, Silver Creek, GA 30173. Pallbearers include the following gentlemen: John Tucker, Doug Dover, Ethan Carpenter, Kyle Thomas, Tony Tortoso, Joey Simpson. Good Shepherd Funeral Home has charge of the arrangements.
