Donna Lovitt Obituary
Mrs. Donna Fay Ashley Lovitt, age 61, of Rome, passed away Monday December 31, 2018 at a local hospital.
Mrs. Lovitt was born in Rome, GA on June 7, 1957, daughter of the late Claude Junior Ashley and the late Barbara Ann Dowdy Ashley. She was also preceded in death by a brother James Graylin Ashley. Prior to her becoming disabled, she was employed by Labor Local # 515 at Plant Bowen for several years. She was a member of the Church of the Living God.
Survivors include her husband Brice Lovitt Sr., to whom she was married in 1995; a daughter, Shannon Hutchens, Rome; 2 sons, Joshua Edwards (Amee), Rome, and Cory Hudgins (Jennifer Palmer), Rome; 5 step children, Billy Lovitt (Amanda), Bruce Lovitt (Kacie), Hope Lovitt, Brice Lovitt, Jr., and Susie Leffler, all of Rome; 3 sisters, Kathy Ashley, Debbie Ashley, and Paula Rampley (Danny), all of Cedartown; brother, Donald Abernathy, Lindale; 12 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday January 5, 2019 at 3 P.M. at Holy Ground Church with the Rev. Buddy Floyd and the Rev. James Abercrombie officiating. Interment will follow in Rome Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at Holy Ground Church beginning on Friday afternoon January 4, 2019 at 1 P.M.
Pallbearers are asked to be at the church on Saturday at 2:30 P.M. and are the following gentlemen: Clay McCraw, Brian Abernathy, Bart Canada, Michael Lacey, Justin Lively, Alex Palmer, Bruce Lovitt, and Michael Mobbs.
