Mrs. Evelyn Anne Hudgins McCain, age 71, of Cedar Bluff, passed away Thursday November 26, 2015, in Erlanger Medical Center.
Mrs. McCain was born February 15, 1944, in Memphis, Tennessee, a daughter of the late James Edward Hudgins, and Josephine Duggan Hudgins. Mrs. McCain was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, she was a caregiver or many people. Mrs. McCain was a member of Cedar Bluff First Baptist Church, where she was a member of the TEL Sunday School Class. She was retired from Cherokee County School System after 31 years of service as a school bus driver.
Survivors include her husband, Ed McCain, daughters, Leanne Peek, Cedar Bluff; Amy (Elbert) McCullough, Cedar Bluff; grandchildren, Michael Richardson, Luke Richardson, Austin McCullough, and Colin McCullough, brothers, John Hudgins, Syracuse, NY; Jimmy Hudgins, Cedar Bluff; Jody Hudgins, Sarasota, Fl; sisters, Becky Rudolph, NJ.; Cathy Zerrenner, VA; several nieces and nephews also survive .
Funeral services will be held at 4:00 P.M. (EST) Sunday November 29, 2015, at Parnick Jennings, Sr.'s good Shepherd Funeral Home Chapel, with Dr. Mark Cosby, and John Hudgins, officiating. Interment will follow in Oaknoll Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of the service on Sunday at Parnick Jennings, Sr.'s Good shepherd Funeral Home, 2750 Shorter Ave. Rome, Ga. 30165.
Memorials may be made to Cedar Bluff First Baptist Church, 3500 Old Highway 9, Cedar Bluff, Al. 35959.
Pallbearers include the following gentlemen and are asked to meet at the funeral home by 3:30 p.m. (EST) Michael Richardson, Luke Richardson, Austin McCullough, Colin McCullough, Cole Zerrenner, Grant Hudgins, and Justin Norton.
