Mr. Flaveous Joseph "Joe" Everett, age 83 of Rome passed away Tuesday April 21, 2015 in a Rome Medical Center.
Mr. Everett was born May 11, 1931 in Everett Springs, a son of the late Clark Howell Everett and Zula Fitzpatrick. He was a member of Everett Springs Baptist Church. Mr. Everett was retired from Royal Lite Plastics, he was a veteran of the United States Army serving during the Korean War. Mr. Everett was preceded in death by a brother, Parnick Everett, two sisters, Eloise Chambers, Charlene Hawkins.
Survivors include his wife, Mickey Gilleland Everett, sons, Richard T. Everett, Cartersville; Jody (Holly) Everett. Armuchee; daughters, Pat (Joe) Huff, Port St. Lucie, Fl; Carol (Gregg) Karnes, Armuchee; brothers, C.J. (Pat) Everett, Fl; Kelly (Carol) Everett, Armuchee; Ivan (Glenda) Everett, Lindale; sisters, Juanita Green, Armuchee; Marlene (Bill) Duke, Everett Springs; Genelle (Rob) Kenyon, Deland, Fl; grandchildren, Adam Harris, Amanda Harris, Andy Nelson, Aaron Nelson, Michaela Everett, Brody Everett, great grandchildren, Anna Harris, Stormy Harris, Austin Harris, Gracie Harris, Emma Harris, several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 A. M. Saturday April 25, 2015, at Everett Springs Baptist Church, with Rev Horace Stewart, officiating. Interment will follow in Everett Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. on Friday April 24, 2015 at Parnick Jennings, Sr.'s Good Shepherd Funeral Home, 2750 Shorter Ave. Rome, Ga. 30165.
Mr. Everett will lie instate at the church one hour prior to the service on Saturday.
