Mrs. Frankie Jean Shaw Rodgers, age 79, of Jacksonville, Alabama passed away Thursday November 26, 2015 in Regional Medical Center in Anniston.
Mrs. Rodgers was born November 15, 1936, in Polk County, a daughter of the late Clark Shaw, and Ellen Mae Edge Shaw. She was a member of Blue Pond Baptist Church and retired from Darlington School where she was employed in housekeeping. Mrs. Rodgers was preceded in death by, a son Gary Allen Mitchell.
Survivors include her sons, Marlin (Pat) Shaw, Merrills Inlet, SC; David (Denise) Mitchell; Ohatchee, Al; Tim ( Evelynn) Mitchell, Alexandria, Al; brother, Jimmy Shaw, Douglasville; sisters, Charlotte Segars, Rome; Barbara Smith, Rome; 7 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday November 30, 2015 at Parnick Jennings, Sr.'s Good Shepherd Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Herb Murray and Rev. Jerry Branton, officiating. Interment will follow in Union Grove Cemetery, in Rock Run, Alabama. The family will receive friends from 7 until 9 p.m. on Sunday November 29, 2015,at Parnick Jennings, Sr.'s Good Shepherd Funeral Home, 2750 Shorter Ave. Rome, Ga. 30165.
Pallbearers include, Trent Mitchell, Anthony Segars, Josh Murray, Todd Smith, Greg Smith, and Frankie Smith.
Honorary Pallbearers include, Brian Shaw, Bailey Buckner, Jerelle Lockaby, Ricky Harris, Josh Shaw.
