Glenda Christie Obituary
Glenda Joan Beam Christie, age 71 of Rome, passed away Wednesday November 28, 2018 at her residence.
Glenda was born August 19, 1947, in Floyd County, a daughter of the late Paul Andrew Beam, and Kathleen Josephine Pugh Beam. She was a member of Christ Gospel Church, and was retired from Wallis Printing. Glenda was preceded in death by brother, Bennie Beam.
Survivors include her husband, William Edward (Eddie) Christie, daughters, Tara Strickland, Tanya Duffey, Deleta Abshire, sister, Joyce Howell, grandchildren, Carmen Chandler, Zachary Chastain, Bryce Abshire, Nadia Abshire, Sofia Abshire, Brylee Duffey, great grandchildren, Bronx Chastain, Hudson Chandler, several nieces and nephews also.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday December 1, 2018 at Christ Gospel Church of Rome, 619 Chulio Rd. Rome, Ga. 30161, with Rev. Rocky Calbert, Rev. Pam Calbert, and Jeremiah Veillon, officiating. Interment will follow in Lindale Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Friday November 30, 2018, at Good Shepherd Funeral Home, 2750 Shorter Ave. Rome, Ga. 30165.
Pallbearers include the following gentlemen and are asked to meet at the church by 12:30 P.M. on Saturday, Danny Pugh, J.W. Terry, Chris Abshire, Wade Christie, Sr. Wade Christie, Jr. And George Sifuentes.
