Henry Dunaway Obituary
Mr. Henry Randolph Dunaway, age 82, died Saturday morning November 24, 2018 at his residence.
A native of Floyd County, Mr. Dunaway was born May 20, 1936 son of the late Richard Willis " R.W." Dunaway and Eddie Mae Rosson Dunaway. He was employed by Marglen and Trend Mills, and retired after 20 years as a supervisor with the City of Rome Street Department. Mr. Dunaway a member of New Armuchee Baptist Church, enjoyed gardening and working in his yard, and was preceded in death by a daughter Barbara Sue Dunaway, a great granddaughter Madison J. Conaway, sister Sara Ann Terry and brothers John, Dugan, and Richard Dunaway.
Mr. Dunaway is survived by his wife, Edna Warren Dunaway, to whom he was married June 29, 1956; sons Henry " Randy " Dunaway Jr. and his wife Cathy, and LeRoy Dunaway; daughter Donna Sue Pruitt and her husband Tyrone; brother Ben Dunaway, and sister Ida Lee Montgomery. Nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3 P.M. Tuesday November 27, 2018 at the Good Shepherd Funeral Home Chapel, 2750 Shorter Avenue with Greg Montgomery officiating. Interment will follow in the New Armuchee cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 1 PM until the service hour.
The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers: Lawson, Levi, Bimbo, Wayne, Johnny, and Benji Dunaway and Scott Montgomery.
